Nintendo has confirmed that COO Reggie Fils-Aime and Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto will be speaking at a Wii U software showcase at this years E3 event, prior to the opening of the show floor according to a report at
IGN. The press event will allow those attending to try out the software lineup of E3 for the first time.
“This year, Nintendo is taking a different approach to E3,” Nintendo said. “We’re giving you the chance to get closer to the games through a unique hands-on experience at our booth before the show opens.”
Nintendo had previously stated that they would be skipping the main E3 event, instead opting for a new presentation style which will be offering several smaller and separate events instead of the large press conference. Details on whether these smaller events will be broadcast on Nintendo's Direct Stream service is currently unknown.
Fans of Nintendo can look forward to more information being revealed on a new Mario, Mario Kart and Super Smash at this years E3 event as confirmed in a previous
Nintendo Direct, but hopefully other titles will also gain the spotlight as well for the currently struggling Wii U console.
