Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto will serve as co-producer on the project alongside Hollywood veteran Christopher Meledandri.

Whose production credits include the Despicable Me movies, the Minions movie, early Ice Age films, and before his shift into computer-generated animation live action classics like Cool Runnings and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.

No release window has been set, but if sales of Super Mario Odyssey are any indication, whenever it drops expect it to be huge.
