Sales-wise the launch of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet for the Nintendo Switch has been nothing short of
a record-breaker - surpassing 10 million sales in the first three days to become the biggest Nintendo launch of all time. But, in a very non-Nintendo way, the launch was plagued with performance issues, funny glitches, and lots of bugs.
Which we compiled here. Games released in an unfinished or unpolished state have become more common in recent years, so it's strange to see a high-profile Nintendo game join the likes of Cyberpunk 2077, Gotham Knights, and others. As part of a
new patch rolling out for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, Nintendo has included the following statement.
We are aware that players may encounter issues that affect the games' performance. Our goal is always to give players a positive experience with our games, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take the feedback from players seriously and are working on improvements to the games.
The Patch itself is relatively small in terms of fixes, though the above does point to major updates coming in the future.
