Before the Game Boy, yeah even the green and black screen edition, there was Game & Watch -- little black and white LCD games created by Nintendo that were (and still are) very cool. From Donkey Kong Jr. to Oil Panic to any other number of classic games, odds are if you grew up in the 80s playing videogames as a kid you had a Game & Watch. Or one of the many knock-offs.

And now as part of a limited run Nintendo is bringing back this classic bit of videogame history with Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros.. Yeah the 8-bit NES classic. Playable and in full colour on a sweet and totally brand-new Game & Watch system.

As a legit Game & Watch release this will also double as a watch, with an animated clock and timer using classic Super Mario pixel art and animation. Plus a number of secret goodies to discover too.

Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. is set to be released on November 13 for $79.95 AUD. No doubt this limited release will sell out pretty quick.
