The E3 Hype is here, and
Nintendo has announced the time and place (online) for its annual Nintendo Direct for E3 2021. So yeah, June 16 at 2:00am AEST is when it's happening (which is a Wednesday night/Thursday morning deal) and the focus will be squarely on games.
With rumours and "imminent announcement" speculation ramping up for the still-to-be revealed
Nintendo Switch Pro, ol' Ninty is making it pretty clear that this Direct ain't going to be about all that.
As per the announcement the Direct stream is expected to run for an impressive 40-minutes and cover games "mostly releasing in 2021". With the Big N adding that it'll be focused "exclusively on #NintendoSwitch software".
With future titles also set to appear, time to restart the
Metroid Prime 4 engine once more. Will it be there? Will we see some meaty
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 gameplay? Odds are its a no on both counts. Because hey, when it comes to Nintendo it's best to let them surprise you. Maybe we're getting a Switch Pro reveal tomorrow.
