And you can watch them right here! First off the bat is a 40-minute Nintendo Direct livestream happening at midnight tonight for Aussies, which is at the sort of okay time of 12am AEST. Next up is the next PlayStation State of Play, a 20-minute presentation happening tomorrow morning at 8am AEST.
With the Tokyo Game Show happening odds are there will be a few reveals and new looks at upcoming titles. Here are the streams, in ready to watch form, and a brief description (and our two cents) of what's in store.
Watch this Nintendo Direct livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information focused mostly on Nintendo Switch games launching this summer.
"Mostly" is the key word here as this 40-minute stream will highlight the big games coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. And with that rumours are swirling about a Zelda combo of The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess coming in HD form. Which would make a new look at the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 something of a definite possibility. Throw in a potential Metroid Prime remake reveal and we could be in for a very cool showing on top of the titles already announced.
With Tokyo Game Show just around the corner, it’s almost time to celebrate the amazing creative contributions of the Japanese game development community. And it’s also a perfect time to kick off another State of Play. For tomorrow’s show, we’ll have some great updates from our amazing Japanese partners, along with a few other surprises from developers all around the world. Expect about 20 minutes of reveals, new updates and fresh gameplay footage for 10 games coming to PS5, PS4, and PS VR2.
With PSVR 2 in the mix we can probably expect to see Resident Evil in all its VR glory, and perhaps a slice of the Horizon VR project. As to what goodies are in store Sony has traditionally been the home of big titles from Japanese studios so the expectation is that we should be getting at least one brand-new reveal.
