If you haven't seen one up close yet, the Nintendo Switch carts are tiny. So small in fact that they resemble an SD card more than something that would slot into a Nintendo 64 -- Nintendo's last cartridge-based console. And so with that in mind Nintendo took measures, by coating them in something called denatonium benzoate, in an attempt to stop someone like a small child accidentally eating one. Upon hearing this news, the internet responded in a way that we've all come to expect.
And by that we mean that many people have taken to licking Nintendo Switch games to confirm that yes, it tastes bitter. And that the aftertaste last for quite a while. Over the weekend it seemed that licking a Nintendo Switch cart overtook 1-2 Switch as the second most played game on the console.
With the first of course being The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Which, has now become one of the best reviewed games in years.

So why the big effort...seeing as this is just another SD card.

Its also not exactly a massive deal to coat it in something.
Your signature is obnoxious btw.
