The latest system software release for the Nintendo 3DS family, Update 9.0.0-20, is now live and introduces themes to customize the design and sounds of the HOME Menu.

According to the release notes on the Nintendo support page, the latest update includes five pre-installed themes with additional themes available to purchase from the Theme Shop. Users can change themes via the HOME Menu settings.

The new firmware update, which applies to 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, adds a feature that allows users to capture screenshots of their HOME Menu. The Nintendo eShop Title Information page has also been tweaked for easier access to “any available videos, demos, user reviews and other information.”
