In an interview with French gaming publication,
GameBlog, Nintendo's enigmatic creative head, Shigeru Miyamoto, has revealed, through his own quirky way, that we'll likely see the revealed original Mario 3DS game this year.
"I promise to do everything to bring you a New Mario game this year," he said, with his trademark smile (which is kind of like a Poker "tell", trust me, I've seen this first-hand). According to reports from this year's GDC, company president Satoru Iwata, talked about the game being a platformer and addressing the puzzle of solving "how to jump and hit a block floating in a 3D space". Most Mario games have been flagships for working new technologies properly, so here's hoping this one works with 3D in new and unique ways.
