It seems like every traditional singleplayer game is trying their hand at a multiplayer mode lately and Ninja Gaiden is no exception, with Team Ninja's upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3 now set to offer a competitive component. The latest trailer focuses on just that and if while playing Ryu Hyabusa in the previous outings, you've ever wanted to bust out some of those moves on real human-controlled opponents, this should make you pretty happy. You can even stab yourself, yep ninja seppuku -- presumably to deny your opponent of the kill and not bring shame to your family.

Ninja Gaiden 3 lands on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 22nd 2012 (assuming it makes it past the Australian Classification Board), with a Wii-U version expected close to the new console launch later in the year.
