Certainly its Game of the Year material, but there's no denying that when played on the Nintendo Switch (docked and on a TV screen) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's frame-rate suffered whenever there was an abundance of grass and other foliage on screen. A minor annoyance that we kind of got used to. Yeah, you cant spell console without 'c'ompromise. But, in typically non-Nintendo fashion a new patch that was released for the game seems to just about fix these issues.
Colour us pleasantly surprised when we fired the game up over the weekend and noticed the difference. It's the sort of subtle change that in a way makes us glad that the game is absolutely huge and that we've still got a long way to go.
