New Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer, Still On Track for First Half of 2018

A short and sweet new trailer for Rockstar's upcoming Read Dead Redemption 2 has dropped minuted ago, and it gives us our best look at the highly anticipated western so far. Of course, all we've had to go on before today was teaser trailer so anything to do with the story and setting is welcome.

Which we get, plus the name of the protagonist, thanks to the new description which reads.

The story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive. Coming Spring 2018 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.

Visually it looks stunning, and definitely built on the GTA V tech. The environments look incredible, from snowy mountains to swampy rivers. Plus, the mud-filled streets of an Old West town.

Our only complaint, Arthur Morgan looks bland. Face-wise. Generic even. He's no John Marston. But, it's still on track for a Spring 2018 release! Which means sometime in March, April, or May.

Still waiting on RDR 1 to get to PC. I wish I knew why they didn't release it on console and why they probably not releasing it on PC. What is up with that????

Apparently the code was an absolute mess and porting it over to PC was impossible/too hard.

I buy that, but I hope that it's not a problem for RDR2, especially if it's based off GTAV. Without knowing f*** all about modern cross-platform game development, I have to believe it is a million times easier these days to maintain compatibility across different platforms without that much overhead??!

Well the PC version of GTA V was incredible. Such a shame they focussed so heavily on the online aspect but that was a multi-hundred hour game for me. GTA V is almost four years old now!@!@!@ Where's GTA VI????

The only thing that surprises me is that people still expect PC versions of Rockstar games at the same time as console. What have they ever done in the last 15 years that would lead you to expect a PC release day and date with consoles? Can't sell the game to people twice if they did that

If the excuse for not doing a pc port is because it's "Too Hard" when all games are f*****g made on computers maybe they should get the f*** out of game development lol
