Amidst its coverage of the various events of the Las Vegas EVO 2013 tournament this weekend, IGN has some direct feed captures of Killer Instinct gameplay footage that was shown at the event. Killer Instict was one of the first party Microsoft Games titles announced during the Xbox One's E3 showing, and is a reboot of the classic Rare fighting game franchise from the late SNES/early N64 era being developed by Double Helix Games.
Below, you can watch a gameplay video of a typical fight between characters Glacius and Jago, and click through to the following links some extended profile videos featuring the game's developers walking through the intricacies of Jago, Glacius, and Sabrewulf.
Killer Instinct is expected to be a free-to-play launch title for the Xbox One when it arrives in November 2013.
It got a s***load of Boos during the presentation when they said it was exclusive to Xbox One. Other than that its getting good buzz from everyone who played it.
FTP is interesting. I imagine it'll be similar to a lot of FTP games with grinding characters and/or paying for them? Or are they going the Valve model and making it cosmetics?
