Well, to be fair, I'd put the largest wager behind the game's single-player mode finally being made available, which would edge the game closer to full release than ever. But. And this is a big "BUT", the wording of their press release is
interesting.
Also, it's not so much a press release, rather it's an
invite to watch a live developer stream on Twitch from Tuesday, February 13th, 9:00 PM CET (Wednesday, February 14th, 7:00 AM AEDT). And that odd wording? "[CD Projekt RED] invite media and gamers to watch the upcoming GWENT developer stream, where
a new way to play The Witcher Card Game will be announced."
We've highlighted the interesting section of the sentence, because this could also mean the game is finally on its way to mobile and tablet devices or, perhaps more tantalisingly, it might be coming to Nintendo Switch given the
popularity and success of Nintendo's newest console/hand-held hybrid. But as we said in our news header, your guess is as good as ours.
Additionally for the die-hard GWENTers out there,
PlayGwent.com is getting an overhaul that will be up and running later in the week.
