Last week Microsoft held their Spring Showcase 2012, a event that features a lot of new info for games coming to Xbox 360. At the event, Valve was nice enough to release some new screenshots for their upcoming title in the Counter-Strike series, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Featuring in the screenshots was of course Xbox 360 gameplay, something that hasn't been seen since Counter-Strike was on the original Xbox. Now that CS:GO is coming to PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360, it will be interesting to see how the dominant PC FPS will do on consoles, a place that sees Gears of War, Halo or Call of Duty appeal more to the mass.
Check out the screenshots below which give a nice view of what to expect on the Xbox 360 version (as well as a hint at a new map), and you can also head over to
our game page for the latest on this upcoming sequel to a very favourable game series.

How do you get in on the action? Do you have to put your name into a hat, or do they just send out random invites?

I like the bit where clicking a thumbnail in the gallery doesn't take you to a thumbnail sized image (*hint for ausgamers TODO list*)

I hate sites that do this, you click a thumbnail which opens the thumbnail in a new window and you click that to get the full image. What the hell? I had a free image gallery php script thing that did this when I was trying to set up my own small picture gallery.
