The steady slide into more consistent game releases for the rest of the year begins this month, but for many, all eyes are on October 31st where we'll finally see a proper, new installment in the Assassin's Creed series with the third major chapter.

We've already seen plenty of the game though, but what Ubisoft has decided to focus on in today's video is the engine driving the new adventure to new heights - their proprietary AnvilNext game engine. It's honestly difficult to get a full appreciation of the tech in video form, but having seen the game up close and personal, I can attest to this being the most ambitious and visually-stunning Assassin's Creed yet.

The PC version better not be a bad port.

They've all basically been straight up ports. Just slightly better settings for the rendering.

The thing that worries me is, a few months ago they said they recommend PC players use a controller and they won't be putting too much work into Keyboard and Mouse. Which with the AC2 games got really good. Unlike with the first game.

So I am a bit unsure what they mean. Can't they just use the same set up? Or is something fundamentally different.

As someone who suffered a hand injury and finds controllers painful to use for any length of time, this is quite important to me.

PC version is delayed, so I assume it'll just be the standard tweaking for PC.
