EA sure loves staying cryptic about its beta dates. First, it was the "sometime in October" release window for Star Wars Battlefront, now it's the same thing for Need for Speed. The closed beta will be playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One "in October 2015".

The catch is that you'll only find out the dates for the closed beta if you're accepted into it. My gut tells me that it can't be too long after Battlefront's beta, especially considering Need for Speed is still slated to launch worldwide on the 5th of November.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, click on this link here to sign up for the closed beta. Beta registration closes at 6pm AEST on Friday the 28th of September (assuming my conversion from 10am CEST is correct).
