With the already available on consoles critically acclaimed expansion Monster Hunter World: Iceborne set to arrive on PC (via Steam) on January 9, 2020. The expansion introduces a large new play area, new monsters, and hot spring bathing. Hit the jump for a brand new PC trailer showcasing 4K 60fps gameplay.
With higher resolution textures, ultrawide support, DirectX 12 features, and updated controls even though Capcom is taking it's time bringing this to PC - the wait will no doubt be worth it.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne whisks players off to explore the newly discovered Hoarfrost Reach, a snow-covered locale that progressively expands with the story and is home to the mysterious new Elder Dragon, Velkhana. To help hunters on their journey, new gameplay features have been added including the new Clutch Claw mechanic and updates to all 14 weapon types that will provide additional combat options. Other new “series first” gameplay features include a two-player balanced difficulty scale, the ability to ride small monsters to traverse maps and a Hunter Helper player incentive to encourage more experienced hunters to help Low and High Rank players progress through the game.
Post-launch support is also planned, including a Resident Evil crossover in February. Capcom notes that it's planning to release content updates on PC around the same time as on console after the release of Iceborne on PC.
