The kerfuffle over Mojang's forthcoming "Scrolls" started by Bethesda Softworks in regards to use of the word "Scrolls" (which they claimed IP ownership over), has finally reached a palatable head with both parties coming to a mutual agreement.
On Friday Mojang's Carl Menneh posted on
their blog that they had "settled the lawsuit over "Scrolls"" with Bethesda and that the two companies are now "friends again".
To answer the big question – yes Scrolls is still going to be called Scrolls.
To answer the second question – we aren’t going to keep the trade mark.
His post also points out that they didn't necessarily care about the trade mark, rather it was about naming their game as such and not letting the big boys bully them around.
