Sony has revealed a brand new gameplay trailer for MLB 14 The Show, taking a look at two new modes aimed at cutting down game times for those players who don't want the full nine innings simulations in season mode.
In Player Lock, you'll be able to experience entire games as a single player, vastly reducing the amount of time one game takes. Quick Counts on the other hand use an algorithm to drop each player into a middle or late pitch-count, rather than beginning each at-bat at 0-0.
While the modes at a glance are designed to cut down game time, they'll also help players improve on their strike-out rate. Today's trailer also takes a look at Manage Mode, which will allow a player to direct the club from the top position and make all those big tactical decisions. Players will also have access to Sportscast Manager during the game, allowing decisions to be made and speed up proceedings.
MLB 14 The Show is available now on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, with a PlayStation 4 version hitting shelves May 6th.
