Last week Chivalry: Medieval Warfare developer Torn Banner Studios teased its new game Mirage: Arcane Warfare. It kind of looked like more of the same but with bright colours, magic, staffs, and wands in place of swords and shields. It certainly looked lighter, until today that is. With the full trailer reveal we now know that Mirage is every bit as brutal and violent as its predecessor. But, with more colour.

And it looks and sounds great.

"Our last game Chivalry was about chopping off people’s heads with a sword. Mirage takes that core gameplay DNA and explodes with a range of new bloody, brutal combat possibilities thanks to the addition of powerful magic” said Steve Piggott, Torn Banner CEO and game designer on Mirage: Arcane Warfare. “Mixing in the elements of fantasy and magic allow us to add entirely new components and levels of complexity to that core team-based combat concept that we find so much fun to play.”

Built using Unreal Engine 4, so far the game looks pretty impressive. Due for release later this year on Steam, you can also sign up for beta access via the official site.
