With the console's version of Minecraft all set to be updated to the Bedrock edition tomorrow, enabling cross-platform play. Which means Minecraft players across Xbox One, Windows 10, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Gear VR, and now PlayStation 4 will be able to build together.

The Bedrock edition is great for other reasons too as it means all purchases and progress made on PlayStation 4 will also carry over to other platforms. The Bedrock edition will replace all current versions as a free update.
