While the release period for both of the next-gen consoles is coming along at a snail's pace at best, there are still a few decent games to sift through outside of the big holiday Triple-As, such as Klei Entertainment's survival-crafting gem, Don't Starve for the PS4.

While it does a lot different to Minecraft, many of its familiar points will work as an ease-of-entry component ahead of the game itself serving up some pretty strange and unique scenarios, as was documented by our reviewer Dylan "GameBoffin" Burns, who took the game's title to heart and sat down for a decent critical serving of lightly simulated starvation.

You list three "cons" which are all basically the same thing: it's hard.

Didnt read review.

Game was good but i found it f*****g repetitive. Had a few learning experiences with deaths but then made it close to 100 days before i stopped playing. Winter was the worst due to lack of food, cold and short days.

Plus, you wanna play safe cause if you die then starting over is a mother f*****.
