According to a new report over at Digital Foundry, Shadow of War on the Xbox One X offers substantial improvements over the base game and even the version running on a PS4 Pro. Which all comes down to the use of better textures thanks to the additional 12GB of GDDR5 memory of the Xbox One X. Running in 4K the differences are clear, but also enhanced mode increases the draw distance, detail, and texture quality.

It's that latter that definitely sounds interesting, proving that consoles like the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro can offer benefits to those with 1080p displays. The Xbox One X in particular thanks to its super-sampling capabilities out of the box.

If you're the sort of person that loves seeing the number sequence 3840x2160 be sure to check out the full detailed report over at Digital Foundry.
