Quashing recent rumours that acclaimed film director Ridley Scott was attached to a Halo movie project, Microsoft has confirmed that it has no such plans. In a statement reportedly provided to Eurogamer, the corporation widely known for it's usual "does not comment on rumours of speculation" repsonse, provided an unambigious Windows Shutdown to the speculation:
"The Halo franchise encompasses many elements, including games, action figures, novels and more," a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer.

"As always, we have many projects in the works that offer us the opportunity to bring in new audiences to the franchise, as we did in the past with Halo Legends and Halo: Forward Unto Dawn.

"We plan to continue telling the Halo story through innovative channels, but there are no plans for a Halo motion picture at this time."
A Halo television series is still known to be in the works with the involvement of Steven Speilberg --to be aired initially over the Xbox Live service-- and a new Halo game is expected from Halo 4 developer 343 Industries on Xbox One in 2014.

The solution is clear:
Rooster Teeth need to crowdsource a project to bring RvB to the big screen.

If they really have no plans for a movie, I think it better remain that way. Some games aren't mean to be a movie.
