Microsoft Flight Simulator is out in a matter of hours. With the August 18 launch for the highly anticipated sim counting down to 0, where countless people will then take off from runways found on all corners of the globe - we've put together another taste of the sights you'll see. In 21:9 cinematic ultrawide, to help set the right flight mood.

Locations visited: Scotland, Algeria, Thailand, Taiwan, Russia, Brazil, Norway, Nepal -- detail settings at Ultra.



Music is the track 1995 by Kbit, which suits the dreamy/cinematic visuals perfectly.

Havent seen an exact time... 18th is all we have which means sometime tomorrow/tomorrow night for ANZ. Or even midnight tonight if there's a regional rollout.

Thanks that's great news. I was expecting a release early Wednesday morning. Appears there's no Steam preload which is annoying.

If you have ordered on Steam you'll be getting it later - according to the link you posted.

If you purchased the simulator via Steam, you will be able to download at 04:00 UTC ( August 18, 12:00am EST) universally across all countries.

It's available on Gamepass I might just grab it on that as well.

If you change your region to Kiribati you can start downloading/playing now.

91GB of content to download when I launched the game.
