With any new fancy technology you've got to keep the "ooh" flowing. That's just Fancy Tech Business 101, and exactly what Microsoft was doing with its upcoming Hololens wearable head thingy at the annual Microsoft Build conference earlier today.
As apps for Windows 10 are going universal, meaning that they'll work across all Windows 10 devices (including the Xbox One), Microsoft have announced that these Universal Apps will all be supported by its new Windows Holographic platform. And by extension the new Hololens head thingy.
Which naturally would mean that holographic gaming is coming sooner or later to the Xbox One. Especially with the additional little nugget of news detailing a partnership with Unity to ensure that any upcoming Unity-powered app or game will be Hololens compatible.
Of course, how all of this would work in a game still remains unknown.
