Xbox One console manufacturer Microsoft has officially confirmed what many have been eagerly hoping for since the consoles debut back in late May: console-ception.

According to MegaGames.com, Microsoft has revealed that you can successfully plug in your Sony PlayStation 4 to Xbox One's HDMI-in port, thus allowing PlayStation 4 games to run within an Xbox One overlay.

Microsoft executive Albert Panello confirmed the news, revealing that using this setup, players can multi-task between the two rival consoles. "Any application can be snapped to a game... so if you wanted to be playing Ryse and Killzone at the same time, you could snap that," he said.

Of course it isn't just the PlayStation 4 that can be run directly through the Xbox One interface, with any HDMI output device able to do so. These include the Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Unless all AV receivers are infringing this is a fail.
