And by style we of course mean the ability to launch tiny vehicles out of a toaster and then drive around a cluttered kitchen table. Naturally. In terms of big differences to the Micro Machines of old, World Series looks to insert vehicle customisation and weaponry into the mix -- both welcome additions to what looks like a fun local multiplayer experience. The game will also feature appearances from a number of other classic Hasbro products including, prepare your nostalgia bone for this, Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Micro Machines World Series is out June 23 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

MMv3 had local multiplayer features beyond any game I've seen before or since. Does anybody know if this tries to even come close?

Oooh I flogged the old ms dos micro machines game with my brothers back in the day as a kid.

Might get on this for a bit of old timey nostalgia.
