And no, he won't be playing, rather he'll be investing. He's doing it as part of an investor group who are currently funding Team Liquid, the parent company behind aXiomatic.

And that investment sum currently sits at a handsome USD $26 million according to a report over at PC Games N. Jordan has also included Curtis Polk who is Jordan's manager of financial and business affairs at the Charlotte Hornets, the NBA team Jordan owns. Carlyle Group co-founder David Rubenstein rounds out the investment group.

Jordan joins the likes of Shaquille O'Neill as a known sports person investing in the esports space.
