Last E3 we got word that a new Metroid Prime game was finally in the works, with Nintendo confirming at the time that development duties were not being handled by Retro Studios. Which raised the question as to who would be behind the next installment in the excellent Prime series. Well, according to rumours and a LinkedIn profile of a Bandai Namco Singapore developer we might know the answer.

As in Bandai Namco Singapore will be bringing back Samus Aran, alongside a new Ridge Racer title exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. Although listed as an unannounced shooter/adventure for the Switch, many people out there including us have decided that sure - this is in reference to Metroid Prime 4.

There's no mistaking Ridge Racer 8 as anything but the next entry in the long-running arcade racing series. Bandai Namco Singapore, a studio made up of industry veterans including people who worked at LucasArts during the Force Unleashed and Star Wars 1313 era is certainly an interesting choice for Metroid Prime 4. Here's hoping we get to see gameplay footage at E3 this year.

Having it tied to the Prime series is a worry. Japanese development studios aren't known for their first-person games.

Wonder why Retro aren't on it? Maybe because the key dudes left to start their own studio?

Either way, I'm treading VERY cautiously.
