Released earlier this year it's no secret that Metro Exodus is already one of our front-runners for Game of the Year, an excellent and immersive first-person epic set in post apocalyptic Russia. And now, the first bit of story DLC has been released. Called 'The Two Colonels' it takes players back to the claustrophobic tunnels of the Metro.
And features two brand-new protagonists, Colonel Khlebnikov and Colonel Miller. Check it out.
Metro Exodus debutes its first major story expansion, The Two Colonels, which harkens back to the series’ roots with a tense, claustrophobic journey through Novosibirsk. As the name suggests, you’ll take control of two brand-new protagonists, Colonel Khlebnikov, who you’ll journey with in the last days of his life, and Colonel Miller, who will investigate what befell his fallen comrade.
The Two Colonels will also offer a brand-new tool for exploration and eradication: the flamethrower! Like the classic Tikhar, you’ll need to pump up the flamethrower to maintain its power and effectiveness.
As per the description it introduces a new weapon in the form of a flamethrower - which will no doubt become a handy tool when exploring the dark corners of Novosibirsk. 'The Two Colonels' is the first of two planned expansions, with the second called 'Sam's Story' set to be even larger when it launches early 2020.
Both expansions are available as part of game's Expansion Pass.
