The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Melbourne gamers will make history this April when they present Soul Symphony, the World’s first live video game tournament accompanied by live orchestral music.

The lucky few who were able to snatch up tickets last week will be pleased to know that MSO and Melbourne's fighting game community, CouchWarriors, are looking for the most powerful SoulCalibur V performance to display their symphonic combat skills and prove who is the best in front of the concert audience at Video Games Unplugged: Symphony of Legends on Thursday 12 April.
To qualify for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, interested gamers will need to battle through the SoulCalibur V tournament at the CouchWarriors Fighters Festival on Saturday March 31 at the Solei Bar and Lounge, Moonee Ponds.

The top two qualifiers will gain entry to compete on stage during Video Games Unplugged: Symphony of Legends in the SoulCalibur experience of a lifetime.

If this isn’t enough to get gamers interested, the winners will take home awesome prizes including copies of SoulCalibur V signed by the producer, composer and soundtrack artists courtesy of Bandai Namco.
The event will see the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra presenting music from leading AAA games such as Assassin's Creed II, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, Bioshock 2 and even Diablo III. Supporting the music will be three massive screens surrounding the stage that will showcase visuals from games, including the still-to-be-released Diablo III.

If you missed out on the giveaway last week, you can still book for tickets over at the official website. We would also like to thank the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Lifelounge for supplying us with tickets and hopefully everyone who received one will have an awesome time!
