Playable until October 6, the MediEvil remake demo is available now on PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store. Out at the end of October this demo is a chance for players to jump in and check out the action early and also unlock a special item for the full game - Dan’s helmet.



It's unsure exactly what the helmet will do but the description of "extra challenge when equipped in the full game" points to a possible difficulty and challenge boost for veteran MediEvil fans.

The MediEvil Short-Lived Demo runs in native 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro hardware and as per the trailer above presents a major leap in visual quality over the PlayStation-era original that we got in the 1990s. The full game is out October 25.
