EA has announced that Medal of Honor: Warfighter is now available to play in Australia. The title is the latest in the recent reboot of the very long running series, however this time Danger Close has taken on both the singleplayer and multiplayer development compared to the previous Medal of Honor which had DICE on board.
Written by U.S. Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas and inspired by real world events, Medal of Honor Warfighter delivers an up close and personal look at today’s battlefield and the fight against the ongoing global terror threat.

From rescuing hostages in Abu Sayyaf’s stronghold in the Philippines to assaulting Al-Shabaab’s “Pirate Town” on the Somali Coast, Medal of Honor Warfighter puts players in the boots of today’s most highly trained and skilled warriors to experience missions that have a dotted line to real world terrorist threats.
A new launch trailer has been released which shows off some of the singleplayer in action, which you can check out below. You can also check out our game page for more info if you are still on the fence for this one.

The single player is definitely a winner if you like these things.

Entertaining, looks great and even has some emotional moments. It also never reaches the over the top silliness of COD.

It's worlds apart from the MP though.

On PC the MP looks like it was made by a completely separate team, not even using FB2. It's just a direct console port. Unlike the SP which is made to look great on PC. MP looks crap and graphics options do pretty much nothing. There's basically no difference between low and ultra. For mesh and texture there's definitely zero difference. Even the way the game plays and handles is different.

MP is basically a joke on PC. It's actually really shocking they screwed PC players over so bad. There's been basically zero attempt to make it for PC in their port.

I say, wait until it's cheaper. Buy for the SP. Unless they some how release a massive overhaul of the MP. However seriously, if the textures are s***** on launch and there's no options for them. Clearly they never made any attempt at it ever being for PC. So they need to overhaul the entire thing. They'd be better just removing it for a few months and brining back a new one.

From what I've heard its not sounding good - no reviewers got their copy early? Which usually means they are trying to sell it before its well known how bad it is?

Only one review so far it seems, with a 5/10

It seems the BF:premium discount was really put in because no one would recommend it. I disagree with the reviews about the SP.

I like these type of games and I liked it.

Still MP looks horrible.

Here's some screens comparing the last MOH to this.

Seriously DICE should take legal action against Danger Close for making Frostbite 2 look so horrible in the MP. SP it's almost BF3 quality though.

Something indeed looks off on those photos, and especially when it shouldn't be such a large transition when its the same company this time. I'm presuming someone forgot the HD textures, and hopefully they'll be added in like Skyrim did on its release.

Wow, that looks crap. Glad I steered clear of this. Medal of Honour is dead, Unless they go back to WW2 or something but people will complain about it.

Now that game engines have come so far since the end of the era of doing the WW2 FPS theme to death, I'd actually really like to see a new WW2 FPS from the CoD or BF franchises.

Hell, if they just remade CoD1 properly in an engine at the level of Frostbite 2 I'd happily buy it.

WWII with frostbite 2 would be sweet, Bombers and fighters and tanks of all kinds. I missed out playing original Battlefield multiplayer, would have been fun at the time.

I would love a WW2 game in FB2. However one which really used destruction. Like a village in France that was made up of complete buildings that were all totally destructible. However not being over powered modern, it becomes an asset. Tanks, and bombs actually can play a role.

Hell why not even add fire so buildings can be set on fire and collapse.
