Piranha Games has today released a brand new gameplay trailer for MechWarrior Online that features some very heated combat. While only 30 seconds long, it gives a glimpse at what to expect from this action packed title.
Set in the year 3049 during the early stages of a massive interstellar war, MechWarrior Online puts you in command of the most powerful war machine to ever walk the field of battle, the mighty BattleMech™. Command your Mech™ and customise it to suit your battlefield role; upgrade systems, replace weapons, and tweak armor with endless options.
MechWarrior Online lets players command at will: go head-to-head online alone or with friends in high-octane Conquest and VS modes. Band together and form your own Mercenary Corp, invite friends and battle other player-made Merc Corps for prestige and power.
Also revealed today is the brand new Dragon Mech, which is well equipped for battle with its laser weapons and speedy travel.
At 60 tons and boasting such a massive engine, the Dragon travels 86.4 km/h. It is clearly designed to let the pilot choose when and where combat happens (and likely how it ends). With the indirect-fire capabilities of the Telos DecaCluster LRM-10 combined with the range of the Imperator-A Autocannon/5, the Dragon will be able to bring down most foes before they even get into the range of its two Victory 23R Medium Lasers.
You can check out the gameplay trailer embedded below (tantalising HD here) or check out our game page for the latest screenshots including the new Dragon Mech.
Why? Xbox controllers were just USB with an extra wire. Buy a controller extension cable and a USB extension cable, cut off the plugs you want and join the wires up.
Mechwarrior Living legends is great, however just doesn't have the player base in AU. Hopefully this will draw the oldschool MW gamers away from CoD/BF/WoW and back into 'mechs!
