Some new details have landed for Mass Effect's next big campaign content expansion, Omega. The
official BioWare blog reveals that the Omega DLC will launch on November 27 on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in North America, with the PS3 version arriving a day earlier on November 26th on PS3 in Europe (and we presume Australia, shifting the dates back an extra day to account for time differences).
Disturbing reports from the Citadel suggest that something big is about to go down. If our Intel is accurate, Aria is on the move. This was anticipated, as we did not expect her to sit idly by while Cerberus ran roughshod over Omega. With her biotic capabilities and well-documented mean streak, what happens next won’t be pretty.
Our informants believe that Aria intends to seek out Commander Shepard for assistance. We are aware of the Commander’s ties to Aria, but are unclear about how deep they run. What we do know is that Aria will be relentless in her fight to take back Omega, and with the Commander at her side, she may very well be unstoppable.
Aria T'Loak of course, is the Asari "Pirate Queen" whom players first encountered in Mass Effect 2's Afterlife nightclub, and pointed players towards some mercenary hook-ups from The Citadel's Purgatory Lounge in Mass Effect 3.
The stated price for the Omega DLC is US$14.99 for PS3, 1200 MS points on Xbox 360, or 1200 BioWare points for PC (which are currently
AU$20 for 1600 on Origin).
