One of our most beloved Nintendo Switch titles not made by Nintendo or from Nintendo in-house, Mario + Rabbids, makes its console return in October of this year by way of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Introducing a new setting, new characters and new free-roaming element to battles, this entry in the now-definitely-a-franchise looks to be the biggest yet.
A more in-depth video is yet to debut from an upcoming Ubisoft Showcase for the game, but what we learnt during the Nintendo Direct Mini was that the player now has a free-roaming movement option while in battle (provided it's within a character's movement range), allowing for a more fluid, tactical approach to engagement.
Team up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and their friends on a galactic journey to defeat a malevolent entity and save your Spark companions. Explore planets throughout the galaxy as you uncover mysterious secrets and compelling quests!
Build your dream team with three heroes from an eclectic roster of nine.
Take down all new bosses, along with some familiar enemies throughout the galaxy.
Rescue the adorable Sparks throughout the galaxy, who provide distinct powers that will help you in battle.
Unleash your heroes' skills but be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies, and hide behind covers.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is scheduled to release this October 20. Stay tuned for more as we get access to it.
