Up until today the Nintendo Switch has been primarily a Zelda machine, arguably the best place to play one of the best games in years. And now that's changed with the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is a re-release of the fantastic Wii U kart racer will all DLC content plus a few new things too. Like the return of Battle Mode! It's definitely a great game, and ticks off the multiplayer box for the Switch that has only been half-filled until now.
Due to the okay but not great Bomberman. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a different story entirely as its a feature packed game that could very well be the best Mario Kart to date. Also, it looks stunning when played in handheld mode.
If you're looking to pick this up the cheapest prices out there are Target ($62), Big W ($69), and JB Hi-Fi ($69)
So the two biggest releases on the switch so far are both Wii U ports? Man they get away with some s***
Well Breath of the Wild was a simultaneous release on both platforms, and the Switch game is the definitive experience.
I played the WiiU MK8 version at launch and the Switch game and experience is different enough that to me it feels more like a 1.5 than a port. 1080 at 60 is very nice.
Even with the ports and s***, I'd still prefer this to the Wii U Launch Lineup
