2K's Mafia III may have received a mixed reaction from fans and critics at the time of its release but the general consensus was that protagonist Lincoln Clay and the 1960s version of New Orleans both provided a fresh and cinematic take on the open-world organised crime saga. And in a very cool move the game will be free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers on August 8.



Joining Mafia III on PlayStation 4 is the asymmetric multiplayer horror of Dead by Daylight - where four players enter an arena inspired by classic horror settings and a fifth needs to hunt them down.

This month also sees the addition of two new bonus games, the PS VR compatible Here They Lie (available between August 7 – October 2) and PlayLink title Knowledge is Power (August 7 – November 6). PS3 owners also get a couple of freebies in August in the form of Bound By Flames and Serious Sam 3: BF3.

Oh, and PS Vita gets some love to with Draw Slasher and Spacehulk.
