With a new Nintendo Direct broadcast early this morning, it's been a Switch of day so far for news. From Diablo 3 and Warframe release dates to Civilization VI and Cities: Skylines. And Nintendo had a few of its own surprises in store including the announcements of both Luigi's Mansion 3 and a new Animal Crossing game coming in 2019.
Luigi's Mansion 3, which follows in the footsteps of the Nintendo GameCube launch title was teased with the following trailer that looks exactly how you remember it. A fun side-story to the Super Mario series proper so it'll be interesting to see what Nintendo has in store for this after the amazing Super Mario Odyssey.
Also teased, a brand-new Animal Crossing - which no doubt has fans of the series breathing a sigh of relief. As it's been a while since the last game came out.
Also announced and coming in January is a remastered of Deluxe edition of the Wii U's New Super Mario Bros. U for the Switch. And with Nintendo Switch sales within its first year eclipsing total lifetime Wii U sales, it makes sense that Nintendo would continue to port its releases for that console to reach a much larger audience.
