Capcom's annual Captivate event played host to video game press in Rome this year and although there is some tasty new media from a lot of their games, the star of the show was undoubtedly the reveal of Lost Planet 3 -- the next addition to their frosty, alien third-person action series.
Lost Planet 3 reveals new truths about the foreboding planet and the colonial history of E.D.N. III.

Lost Planet 3 introduces Jim, a rig pilot who leaves Earth to take on a hazardous but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III. Working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC) who are preparing the planet for colonization, Jim joins his fellow pioneers at the Coronis base and begins surveying the uncharted terrain and obtaining samples of the planet’s energy supply – Thermal Energy.
You can check out the full feature list, screenshots and the debut trailer by hitting the thumbs below (here for the HD video page), and on our new Lost Planet 3 game page.

Lost Planet 3 is due in "early 2013" for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
