On December 14 for Xbox One and PC (via Steam). Below, from Canadian studio Capybara, first made its debut as part of Microsoft's E3 2013 press conference - over five years ago. From it's unique art style and presentation, and sense of mystery, the size and scope of the game has changed since that time - whilst retaining the same feel that impressed many.

Here's the launch trailer, which although retains the mystery looks great.

Test your adventurer mettle against The Isle’s procedural subterranean labyrinths. Explore a large, interconnected underworld crawling with cunning creatures, deadly traps, and a mysterious shadowy presence. Survive the perils of The Depths and unearth what lies below... or die trying. Below embraces exploration and discovery — illuminate the path ahead, find hidden passages and unravel the deepest mysteries hidden in the darkness your own way.

Capybara, the small studio behind Super Time Force and Superbrothers: Sword and Sorcery EP, has remained mostly quiet about what it all means - but the game is described as a rogue-like in addition to being a survival game with crafting and challenging combat. Plus, the obligatory Zelda top-down influence.
