We told you last week that a local qualifying round was taking place to give ANZ players a chance to head to the Call of Duty Championships in Hollywood, California, and in its wake eight local players have secured their spot at a USD$1 million prize-pool.
After eight gruelling hours of gameplay against fierce competition from 32 expert gamers, Team Immunity and Mindfreak eSports, took out the honour of ANZ’s best Call of Duty teams, and booked their ticket to the Call of Duty Championship, presented by Xbox in April.
24 teams will head to H-town in the US on April 5th (till the 7th) to compete for the big money prize, and say what you will about the CoD franchise, we'll be rooting for the Aussies to bring home the big one. Well done guys.
