This is good news for those looking for a bargain, as it means last year's models will be available at a discount. We reviewed the
LG C2 65-inch 4K Smart OLED TV last year, scoring a 10 out of 10. And with 10 years of stunning OLED displays from LG, the 2023 LG 2023 OLED Z3, G3, and C3 OLED evo series TVs are rolling out now with some very cool updates.
The new LD OLED models for 2023 take advantage of an upgraded version of the acclaimed webOS platform, which LG describes as "transforming the TV into a convenient home hub" in addition to advanced image processing tech and brighter self-lit OLED pixels. LG is once again redesigning the UI with a new style that puts an emphasis on Home Office, Gaming, Music, and Sports. If you're wondering what Home Office is all about well it integrates Windows 365 Cloud so you can do some quick doc editing before watching HBO's The Last of Us.
"LG introduced the world to the first-ever large screen OLED TV a decade ago," writes LG. "And since then, the company has continued to lead the premium TV market. Its OLED TVs keep evolving to deliver greater value to consumers. Renowned for picture quality, LG OLED TVs produce vibrant, accurate colours with deep blacks and an infinite contrast ratio for lifelike images."
The upgraded Z3, G3, and C3 OLED evo series TVs will once again be the most popular models, with all featuring LG OLED evo technology and the new α9 AI Processor Gen6 for brighter images and improved colour accuracy. There's also a new LG SIGNATURE OLED M, a 97-inch OLED TV with full wireless audio and video, which we assume will cost as much as a brand-new car.
Back to reality, the OLED evo G3 series is introducing LG Brightness Booster Max technology which makes use of "light control architecture and light-boosting algorithms" to increase brightness by a whopping 70%. This is awesome news for those with super-bright rooms, where panel brightness can be the reason to buy a specific TV or not.
For us gamers though it's all about the fact that LG self-lit OLED TVs feature an ultra-fast 0.1 millisecond response time. And with four HDMI 2.1 48Gbps bandwidth ports, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility, and AMD FreeSync Premium, the 2023 displays are set to become gaming beasts. Game Optimiser is also returning with a new customisable ‘User’ preset alongside gaming-specific features, which is very cool.
Expect to see the new range in stores soon.
