Okay, so we kind of missed the news that on Friday an Open Beta has begun for the upcoming incredibly fast-paced and action-packed arena shooter LawBreakers. With a release date of August 9 for PC and PS4, this open beta will provide a pretty fair look at what the release version will look like. With this, the latest beta, also including a new map and mode -- Uplink.

Which sounds a little bit like Capture The Flag.
LawBreakers is a multiplayer FPS in which the laws of physics are shattered, creating intense gravity-defying combat across a futuristic landscape. Players choose whether to fight to uphold the “Law” or go out for blood as a “Breaker,” as they take part in a conflict raging across locations including the boiling oceans off the Santa Monica coastline to a gravity-ravaged Grand Canyon.

The LawBreakers Open Beta will conclude July 6 at 2 am AEST, so be sure to head on over to the Steam page to check it out. And if you've got the rig to support it, you'll be glad to hear that this has been designed from the ground-up with PC players in mind -- "Recommended specs optimized for 90FPS. With a high end card like a Nvidia GTX 980 Ti the game should run at 144hz." Sweet.
