EA and Respawn Entertainment has released the obligatory launch trailer for the upcoming hotly anticipated shooter Titanfall, serving up another montage of in-game scenes of giant mechs and their human pilots, ahead of the game's release next Thursday.

There's also a live-action style TV commercial to help get you in the Titanfalling mood.

Titanfall touches down in Australia on PC and Xbox One on March 13 2014 with Xbox 360 following a week or so later.

I've been out of the shooter genre for a while, this is the one that's gonna get me back into it, local servers or not!

I'm a little disappointed with Ausgamers not driving home the message of no local servers on launch and for at least several months afterwards.

Probably worth mentioning purely as a consumer advice type of thing, but crusading for it wont make it happen because the whole game is shackled to Azure, and theres no Australian Azure datacenters yet :(

Its a shame, because from the beta it seems to be a really, really fun game, and it does handle the high latency incredibly well, but still doesn't compare to having proper local servers =\

I don't care if it's shackled to Azure or Google or whoever, the fact of the matter is this heavily advertised game won't have local servers on launch and purchasers should be made aware of that before they buy.

It isn't a crusade, more a consumer advice tip. If enough people didn't buy because of it, that will go a long way to making sure the next big hitting game doesn't do the same thing.
