Team Bondi's much touted, and critically successful L.A. Noire for publisher Rockstar Games is finally headed to the PC platform.
It's not being handled by the Aussie dev though, rather Rockstar Leeds have taken the reins, and according to a report on
Eurogamer, plan on giving it a graphical make-over that also supports 3D. It will also be fully playable with a game-pad; something many a PC player admits to being the best option when tackling a Rockstar game on the desktop machine.
According to the report, we should see the PC version arriving this Spring sometime.

C'mon steam, show us a special.

That tends to go awry whenever a popular console title is ported to the PC, or suggested to be ported.

RDR is awesome
i tried to play gta4 after finishing rdr and was completely let down, really boring game tbh
mafia 2 was about 100x more interesting to play than gta4

This, must say I am surprised by this, gives me hope for GTA 5.

Absolutely was s***house upon release. Some widespread graphical rendering problem that took me hours to work around by messing with how the game measured my PC's specs.
Didnt like Mafia 2 or GTA4, IMO i thought Red Faction Guerrilla was better than both but even that had major bugs until they released a patch after a massive wait.
Im excited for LA Noire though.

It's nice being able to play games at 1080p with AA and AF as opposed to 720p (or lower as is the case with many console titles) even if the art assets are mostly the same.
EDIT: The biggest problem with GTA4 for the PC was all the s*** bundled with it. To play it on Steam required about 3 programs running in the background for DRM which is just crazy.

I care less about the graphics and more about the game mechanics. In heaps of FPS/3rdPS ports, spending 90% of your time auto-crouched behind crates or a wall in the consolesque cover-system* while waiting for your shields/health to recharge and having the same button for run/jump/interact gets extremely boring on a PC.
(* = I have nothing against a cover system when done well, like in Crysis 2)

RDR was the last game I bought on console and likely the last 3rdPS/FPS I will ever buy on console. Great game but just took me so long to get into the control system that if I didn't play it for a week or so then I just couldn't find the motivation to get back in to using the controller. I know that there are a lot of new gamers who only know console gaming but if you don't feel comfortable in the control system it can really affect the gaming experience and for someone who is much more comfortable using a keyboard/mouse I've found I just can['t get into a lot of console games that I expected to like.
