Following up on Kirby and the Forgotten Land, developer HAL Labatory is set to release the next pink puff ball adventure with Kirby’s Dream Buffet coming to Nintendo Switch (via the eShop) this winter. And that's winter for us in Australia, meaning sometime in the next month or so.
With both local and online multiplayer, the following announcement trailer gives us a glimpse on what to expect.
Launching exclusively in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch, Kirby’s Dream Buffet finds a gang of Kirbys rolling through a smorgasbord of food-themed stages in four rounds of frantic multiplayer fun. Players will race each other through these delicious obstacle courses to collect strawberries as Kirby grows, bumping other players off the stage and using familiar Copy Abilities – or Copy Food Abilities, as they are called here – to thwart the competition.
As per above there's a definite Fall Guys vibe to bright and colourful action that mixes racing with obstacles and bumping other players off the stage. That said this is limited to four players, and definitely leans into the Kirby franchise with players being able to grow in size - and even have their weight factor into the outcome.
More details on how it will all work is expected soon, so stay tuned.
