Guerrilla Games has unveiled the second batch of new details for their upcoming multiplayer portion of next-gen PlayStation 4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall.
Continuing with the sweeping changes to the series, Shadow Fall will see the removal of XP to level up, a backbone that was persistent through the previous Killzone titles. Instead, Shadow Fall will now rely on a challenge system where completing a challenge adds a point to your rank, and rewards you with weapon attachments as well as enhancements to your abilities and visual identity. According to Guerrilla Killzone: Shadow Fall will house more than 1,500 challenges for you to complete, so you won't need to worry about running out of things to do.
Multiplayer will also include both offline and online bots for players to battle against and hone their skills. Human players joining an online match will replace any bots currently in the game, to ensure a fair balance to the Warzone. Players will also have the chance to place bots on one side only, allowing for a player vs bots themed Warzone.
Warzone leaderboards, shield, weapon attachments, shields, combat honors and a celebratory spotlight system are all included in the detailed blog post, revealing the various interests that players will find in Killzone: Shadow Fall's multiplayer.
